The Research Unit «Forest Soils and Biogeochemistry», conducting integrative research on various aspect of the soil, from biogeochemical processes to soil biodiversity and its functions. The Research Group «Rhizosphere Processes» (Soil Microbial Ecology) is looking for 4 months for a highly motivated (f/m/d)
Intern in Microbiology / Ecology (80-100%)
You will participate to research project focusing on soil biodiversity. You will collect soil samples in the field, do laboratory work including DNA extractions from environmental samples and preparations for metabarcoding methods. You will also help with the data analyses and developing hands-on experience in bioinformatics.
You hold a Bachelor or Master degree in biology or environmental sciences, with a background in microbiology and/or ecology and have skills in molecular biology methods. Knowledge in bioinformatics, statistics and in code-lines software (such as R) is a plus. You are fluent in English and have excellent communication skills and a high level of team spirit.
