As a researcher with an international reputation, you will manage and coordinate the research group including the cold lab, especially the micro-CT’s. You will lead and support the Snowphysics group across the merging of lab experiments, field work and numerical modeling. Initiating and coordinating research projects within the team are part of your responsibilities as well as following your own projects. Furthermore, you will procure third party funding for research projects and encourage cooperation with other research groups of WSL, other institutes and organizations at both national and international level.
You hold a PhD in natural sciences or related fields, a long-term experience of independent research and an excellent international record in snowphysics. You are experienced in managing and leading teams and interdisciplinary research projects, preferably in international organisations. You are an innovative and integrative personality with high negotiating skills and a good command of one of the Swiss national languages as well as English.
