Research Scientist Environmental Sciences
You will work for the monitoring of the soil water balance and soil solution chemistry in Swiss forests. You will coordinate the sampling of soil water at the LWF-plots and the chemical analysis of these samples in the laboratory. You are responsible for quality assurance and the soil water data base. Using advanced statistical approaches and mechanistic models you will evaluate long-term data series on soil water, soil solution chemistry and element cycles in forests.
You have a PhD in the field of environmental sciences (biology, soil science, ecology, forestry). You are highly motivated and creative, show initiative and enjoy to work in an international team. You are very experienced in working with environmental data, and you have a good background knowledge in statistics or in process-based modelling. Moreover you know to publish in international journals and to present your result to the broader public.
