We're looking for a qualified business development specialist to join our team. Your role is to identify new business opportunities and relationships in a market with great potential in order to generate revenue, improve profitability, and help the business grow. You will report to the Head of Business Development – Products, will be part of the Products Sales & Support team, and will work in close collaboration with the R&D team.
  • Develop new and existing relationships and customers 
  • Have a good understanding of the businesses' products and be able to advise others about them 
  • Interact with customers to learn and understand their needs and their decision taking 
  • Acting as single point of contact for the new customers in collaboration with the technical specialists 
  • Support development of the sales and business strategy 
  • Visiting clients and presenting the offer 
  • Negotiation of conditions and offer management 
  • Research and identify new business opportunities 
  • Attend seminars, conferences and events where appropriate 
  • Help to plan sales campaigns 
  • Help improve the sales pipeline
  • Training and experience in sales techniques and negotiation are essential
  • MSc or PhD in biology, biochemistry, analytical chemistry is a plus
  • Successful track record in B2B sales and negotiation (min 3 years)
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Experience in account management
  • Experience and understanding of the market for software for life science
  • Experience in CRM software is a plus
  • Some experience in product management is a big plus 
  • Fluent in English. German is a plus but not required
